| Another picture with the Sigma 10-20 I borrowed last spring. This is one of the pictures I held back because it needed to be processed in RAW to make the most out of it. The differences are small, mostly compensating for the color/contrast on a bright sunny day. A little warmth on the mountain, a little brightening of the clouds and reflections, up the saturation of the grass, and put a little light back into the trees. Nothing drastic, but it is soooooooo much better than the original. :) I am also falling in love with the "vivid" setting in Capture NX that mimics the settings of the D300 and D3. It does something different to these "cloud" pictures I find pleasing. It also compensates better for the "blue haze" in landscape shots. Heck, with this I really don't need a D300. :) |
