| Phoebe is one of my Aunt and Uncle's two poodles. I think this picture shows the 70-300 VR lens at its best. Here, at 210mm, it renders a pretty good portrait. I have a lot of pictures from this lens at 300mm that don't have nearly the bokeh and smooth dof transition. It can, go to 300mm, it is really best from 70-200. I am looking more and more seriously at a 300 f/4 lens for better wildlife pics. I would also like something compatible with tele-converters, which the 70-300 isn't. Sometimes - actually often - 300mm just isn't enough. |
